Mercury-Free Dentistry

We understand your concerns regarding the use of mercury fillings. Accordingly, at our office we have elected to only use advanced, new fillings made of tooth-colored materials that contain no metals or mercury. It’s just one more way that we show our care for you. Your safety and aesthetics are our primary concern!

Veneers

Veneers are an excellent alternative to crowns and can perfect your smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment, and creating uniformity. Veneers, which are made of thin, customized material designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural, are long lasting, and are relatively easy to apply.

Intraoral Cameras

Ever been curious about what goes on during your dental care visits? Well now, with our intraoral cameras, you don´t have to be curious anymore! An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny device is a video camera that moves around inside the mouth and generates a tooth-by-tooth video exam of the teeth. With the images produced by the intraoral camera, patients can see each of their teeth and dentists can indicate problems such as broken teeth, plaque, decay, gum disease, defective fillings, and so on. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Root Canal Therapy

Did you know that each tooth contains a long, thin strand of dental pulp that provides the tooth with nutrients and nerves and extends down to the tooth’s root? If the pulp becomes infected or injured, the tooth’s nerves die and often, without endodontic treatment, the tooth would have to be removed. Root canals are designed to save such damaged teeth. During the procedure (after the tooth is numb), a gap is drilled into the tooth’s crown and pulp chamber, diseased pulp is reshaped or removed, and the tooth is permanently sealed with a gold, porcelain, or tooth-colored crown.

Healthy Mouths Lead to a Healthy Body

Continued research has linked gum disease to diabetes, heart disease and low birth weight in babies. In an effort to rid your teeth of the plaque and tartar that causes gum disease (gingivitis) and tooth decay, your dental care hygienist may suggest a regimen of care that requires more frequent visits.
